Painting Again - Finally

I have spent more time painting bathrooms the last few months than painting art. However, I did manage to do a couple of my small abstract paintings, and here they art. The first is Evening Light and the second is Sunset I. Both are small acrylics on 10x10 gallery wrapped canvas. Since all bathrooms have now been completed, maybe I can start doing art related projects again!

Below is a photo Storm took of the Oregon Trail last October when we were in Baker City, OR.
It was a cold dreary day, and everything had already turned brown.

I digitally enhanced and transformed into a new piece of what I call my photo art. I made a large 28x40 print on canvas with gallery wrap, and it is now hanging over our mantle.

Our New Website

It has been over one year since I retired from printmaking, and today I launched our new website which promotes my artwork and Storm's photography.  www.creativeheartworks.com

I have spent the last two months editing images and building the site. I was hesitant to make the change because I was finding it difficult to let go of the old, but now it has been done.

This blog will soon feature some my current artwork and Storm's recent photographs.

Retirement Announcement

Effective January 1, 2012
Creative Heartworks will no longer be in operation.

I am excited to announce that I recently made the decision to retire at the end of this year, and we will no longer be in business. It was a difficult decision, but one I feel in my heart is right for me at this time. I want to reclaim our house, work on my own art, play golf and spend as much time with my granddaughter in Alabama as possible.

I have felt truly blessed to have had the opportunity to work with so many wonderful people and talented artists during the last few years, and we have truly appreciated your business, your friendship and your support.

Best Wishes,

Debbie Smith
